Mobile Ordering Voodoo Donuts

Mobile ordering has become quite common now at the theme parks after Covid. There is an ease and uniqueness to how Voodoo Donuts has set up their mobile order pick-up process in Universal Orlando. Check out this simple and tasty process.

First, if you are not familiar with Voodoo Donuts, this chain launched in 2003 and at the time of this blog post, it has 6 different store locations in TX and Colorado including one in both of the Universal Theme parks. The one we are going to talk about today is at Citywalk in Universal Orlando. What do they offer? Well, donuts of course. They also have milk, juices, and coffee to go with their donuts. The coffee is ok.

Once you park and come into CityWalk area and see the lake in front of you, make a right and you will see the donut shop. You can walk into the shop and order donuts, but at certain times the line is extremely long. It is a very popular spot. If that is the case, mobile ordering is super simple. Let's walk through it together.

Download and open the Universal Studios app. Open the app and click on the hamburger in the top left corner to get your menu.

1. Scroll down to where it says Mobile Food & Drink Ordering in the section under Shop.

2. Scroll down to find Voodoo Donuts under Universal City Walk location.

Next, scroll list the menu and select the items you would like to order, 1 by 1 and add them to your cart. Here is a sampling of some of the donuts they offer.

They have things from your simple donut choices if you like the tried and true classics. To ones that are very creative and unique.

Place your order and enter your payment form. You will have to pay with a gift card or credit card on the app. Then wait, you will receive a popup on your phone when your order is ready. They told me about 10 minutes for my wait and it was probably around 5 minutes.

Here is what the app looks like when your order is received and being prepared. You will receive a pop up and the status will change to order ready once it is available to be picked up at the kiosk. DO NOT go to the store, your order will be brought to the kiosk when it is ready.

NOW, the best part, you do not have to fight through the crowd to pick up your order inside the store. Directly across from the Voodoo Donuts location is a mini kiosk that is specifically to pick up your mobile order.

You can take your order with you back to your transportation out of the park, sit on the bleachers overlooking the water in CityPark or take it into either of the parks for your visit. ENJOY!
